This book is a collaboration with the poet Mike Sims, created in response to a callout from the 10th Vilnius Triennale of Artists Books for which the theme was ‘To Be’
A light hearted attempt to aid those who feel the need for a little guidance in how to be, it combines elements of astrology and the I Ching / Yijing.
It comprises 36 thin slats of ply with a single word on one side and two words on the other which can be used to form any of the hexagrams of the I Ching. The slats are also split into twelve colours related to the houses of the astrological zodiac offering another means of interpretation.
Like all good foretellings the results are quite enigmatic.
