What's been going on?

Most of my time through the summer has been spent working on a complicated two block reduction linocut (the image on this post is the start of it). Every time I start one I soon begin to realise why I don’t often use this particular combination. The mental agility required to keep track of all the cutting and overlaid colours is quite an effort.

Did I forget to mention that one of my prints was a prizewinner in Spain? I did! But you can read about it on the home page at the moment. A few works in a couple of exhibitions at the Bankside Gallery and some days sketching in the Pyrenees and that’s about all the excitement of the summer. The linocut is still waiting to be completed so it’s back to the studio now.
