This combines the folding and unfolding of books and boxes. I was interested in the shift between two dimensional and three as well as the way that they enfold emptiness and how it is represented in the two dimensional state.
Originally this book was also to contain a sheet with the paradoxical lines ‘What has gone was never there, once consumed it turns to air’ but in the end I decided I preferred just the emptiness. So, with a nod to quantum physics, the words are both there and not…
